Obsession

OK, its official , I'm a Twilight freak. I read all of the books in a matter of weeks (even had Justin reading them with me.....he just might shoot me for making that public knowledge). I was SUPER excited to see the movie. I went to it with Justin's mom, Brooke, and Chelsey the other day and was a little disappointed. I liked the imaginary movie that played in my little head better than the actual movie, but hey, it's hard to compete with an imagination like mine, right? I don't think Justin will be seeing the movie anytime soon. He knows that the movie won't live up to his expectations. I'm still a fan though.

I have to give a shout out to my smarty pants hubby. He got a 48 out of 50 on his last test! If I had a copy of it I'd hang it on the fridge! It's a good thing that he graduates next semester because I think he's about burned out. The Thanksgiving break is a welcome vacation, not only for the time off, but for the tasty food. Watch out turkey, here we come!

My how the time flies! I can't believe that the summer is over. Justin is busy with school again. I don't get to see him for more than about 15 minutes (if I'm lucky) on Tuesdays and Thursdays because he leaves the house at about 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning and doesn't get home until 10:30 or 11:00 at night. Most of you know that I'm NOT a night owl, so I struggle to stay up until he gets home so I can see him at least for a minute. Not sure that it's really "quality time" though because we're both pretty tired by then. Justin is loving the clinical part of school. I get to hear all about what kind of meds he got to push and how he "almost got to place a suppository" (yea, that's what I thought...EEEEwwwwww). Anyway, I'm still enjoying my new job and wish I would've made the change sooner, it's so close to home that I can run home for lunch and do a load of laundry. It's pretty sweet!
Everything else is just about the same. There's not a whole lot to report on when we don't have any little ones to report about. Hopefully that will change soon since Justin will graduate in May and we'll (hopefully) have the resources to do something about it!
That's all for now.....see you again in another 4 months. Hehehe!

Bobbing for Broccoli

Shannon took this video of Scooter bobbing for broccoli. If you listen close enough you can hear him blowing bubbles out of his nose. He is so funny.

OK, OK, here's a new post. Sorry, It's been a while!!! We've been pretty busy. Justin is busy taking summer classes (Reasoned Discourse, Microbiology, and Nutrition) so he can get them out of the way and not worry about them during the regular semester since he will be busy with nursing classes and clinicals. He spends most of his free time doing homework....squeezing in a little World of Warcraft when he can. Sadly, we haven't done much camping or playing because of school and the price of gas. It's just too hard to justify jumping in the car to go somewhere when you know it's going to cost $50-60 to fill up the tank!
I've been busy with a new job. I am dental assisting again and the best part is that the office is only about a mile away from our house so suck on that oil companies! It's a fun office and I'm even busier now because the other assistant just quit. The boss man decided to just hire someone part time (because I am THAT good....hahaha) so I'm even busier now, but that's ok because he gave me a raise and it makes the day go by faster.
Someone in our house had surgery a couple of weeks ago, but it wasn't a human someone...my dog Daisy (who's turning out to be the million dollar dog) had a growth on her leg that looked a little suspicious so we had it removed. (never did find out what it was since we didn't want to pay another $160 to send the speciman to the lab...)She ended up getting spayed too because the surgery was actually cheaper since it was National Spay and Neuter Your Pet Month.
Anyway, things here are good. Can't wait for the big Kay reunion! I'm excited to see everyone and laugh until I'm sick!

Hello Everybody!

Whadaya know, with a little (really a lot) of help from Machelle I figured this whole blog thing out which is a BIG technological step for me! Justin wears the "techno pants" at our house. Any time there's something that needs to be hooked up or if the computer is acting funny he's the one that figures it out and makes it work.
So, just a little bit about what's going on in our neck of the woods....Justin just started a new round of clinicals at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in the surgery department. As luck would have it, his mom works in surgery and is his preceptor for the next couple of weeks. He's gotten in on some pretty neat cases, but it has it's draw backs too. He "gets" to place catheters on people with his mom's supervision. Talk about uncomfortable! He'll be taking classes for most of the summer too, so I don't think there will be as much time for fishing, motorcylce riding, and camping as he'd like, but I'm sure he'll squeeze it in where he can. Anyway, he's doing great in school and can't wait until next spring when he'll be done.
I just started a new job this week, which I'm very excited about. I'm working for a dentist as an assistant right here in Kuna! It takes me a whole 3 minutes to get to work. No more waking up at 5:15 every moring to get ready for work and face the nasty morning commute! I even have plans to ride my bike or walk on nice days.
We just celebrated our seventh anniversary at the end of March and what a good seven years it has been. I can't believe it's been seven years, but they say time flies when you're having fun. Still no luck expanding our family. Our plans are to just deal with things (and keep our fingers crossed that a miracle will happen) until Justin gets out of school and then we'll really start to "get on the kid stick" as Todd so eloquently put it. The upside to this whole situation is that Justin and I have had PLENTY of time to get to know each other and have a great appreciation for one another and I am very thankful for that.
For the most part things here are flippin' sweet and we are doing great.
